Layering Leaves Love

Today I’m participating in our Million Reasons to Love Layering Leaves Blog Hop by sharing photos of cards I’ve created using the million dollar achiever stamp set designed my amazing Stampin’ Up Upline, Rachel Tessman.  The cards were designed specifically using the stamp set and bough punch that are found in our 2023-24 Stampin’ Up annual catalog.

I also connected it with other stamp sets, dies and coordinating card stock and designer series papers.  I will list those under each photograph.  I’ll be sharing specifics of how I made each one over the course of the next few weeks.  The stamp set (161277) and bough punch (157711) can be ordered online using these reference numbers at my Stampin' Up Shop!  Click here for details!

I am truly grateful to Rachel for her commitment and creativity as both a leader and an artistic designer. Thank you Rachel-you had me at Hello! Thanks for autographing my set-you're the best!  I can't thank you enough for the support, encouragement and inspiration you've shared since I first joined your team in January of 2020.

First, I stamped each stamp with momento black ink to see how they looked. There are 15 photopolymer stamps in the set.  I am so happy they are photopolymer-it's my favorite type of stamp.
I fell in love with how they worked together and coordinated with other Stampin’ Up products.

Here are sample cards I created with the set.  I hope you enjoy seeing them and are inspired to stamp and share with others.

For this card, I used the layering leaves in a 2 step way by adding the parakeet party underlay, then stamped with Versamark and gold heat and emboss powder.  I stamped the sentiment that same way on the Labels A Glow die and then finished the look with the brushed brass butterflies-the butterfly is definitely a Rachel thing!

I used balmy blue for the Sending Hugs sentiment on this card.  I used coordinating card stock color and Sentimental Park Die, Countryside Blossoms embossing folder and Balmy Blue & White variegated ribbon.

For this card, I did a similar fold but landscape instead of portrait.  I thought the black and gold made a good color combination along with the layering leaves stamped with gold head embossing and using the non-character side of the Zany Zoo DSP.

For this fun fold, gift card holder, I used the lovely Bubble Bath.  I am so in love with this color.  I thought it paired well with the silver embossing powder and layering leaves floral-which reminds me of the tiny baby's breath flowers.  I used the simply elegant silver trim to finish it off.  I stamped the sentiment on the round die from the Labels A Glow dies.

For this card, which is also a gift card holder, I used the new boho blue cardstock, Color and Contour Dies along with the Countryside Inn DSP.  I used the layering leaves stamps with boho blue and night of navy for the floral accent on the sentiment banner.

For my last two cards, I created gate fold fun folds with belly bands to capture what the Zany Zoo characters might be thinking.  I used the Stylish Shapes dies on the DSP and on a separate color of card stock.  I matched the colors to the characters-Petal Pink for the piggy (sentiment stamped on the belly band) and Pool Party for the skunk and bird (sentiment stamped on the layering Stylish Shape Die).

I hope you enjoyed seeing the versatility that this stamp set allows for among all the cards I have shared here.  Now, click on to the next stop on our hop!  Enjoy!
